This great view is brought to you in part by: Cherokee, NC :: Oconaluftee Indian VillageThis cam offers an awesome look into the Oconaluftee Indan Village, located in Cherokee, NC. As you step into the Oconaluftee Indian Village, you’re transported back to witness the challenges of Cherokee life at a time of rapid cultural change. The village is open daily from 9:00am - 5:00pm with tours every 15 minutes, except for 11:30am - 12:30pm and 2:30pm - 3:30pm, and the last tour is taken at 5:00pm. Visitors can experience traditional medicine and interact with villagers as they hull canoes, make pottery and masks, weave baskets and beadwork, and participate in their daily activities. The Village also hosts live reenactments, interactive demonstrations as well as “Hands-On Cherokee” arts and crafts classes for the children at 10:30am and 1:30pm Monday through Saturday.
