This beautiful log
cabin is located at the top of Rich Mountain in
Boone, North Carolina and it offers 4700' elevations
and views of several mountain ranges. From this
location you can see panoramic views of North
Carolina and into Tennessee and Virginia. With 180°,
long-range views of over 60 miles of incredible
beauty you kind of get the feeling that you're on
top of the world.
There are two decks with authentic log chairs and a
wonderful wooden swing to sit and marvel at the
view. The large hot tub is situated on the upper
deck and it too provides an exquisite view.
The interior has the best mountain furniture with
every detail of perfection. Sit in the living room
and look out on the view with a roaring fire in the
wood burning stove. There are four new flat screen
televisions with satellite and HDTV, comfortable
furniture and wonderful mountain artifacts that will
keep you busy just looking at everything. The
hardwood floors and pine walls are warm and
inviting. Even the lamps have moose and deer shades.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with
beautiful bear-designed quilt. The furniture is
charming and the antiques wonderful. The adjoining
bath has a cathedral pine ceiling with a claw-foot
bathtub, tile floor, and lovely antiques. Another
bath features a step-in shower. The other bedrooms
are similar in their details and elegance with
comfortable mattresses, wonderful quilts and drapes,
and many details that few rental houses would have.
The downstairs has a den with TV and VCR, beautiful
leather sofa, and again every detail of perfection.
This house is wonderful and you will never be
disappointed with your choice.
Mountain Sunrise has paved access for all but the
last 1 1/2 miles.
Please remember 4WD or chains are always recommended
when visiting the mountains in winter.
