The Sugar Mountain Golf Course was designed by the late Frank Duane, a longtime associate of Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course is located just near the base of the mountain at an elevation of 4,000 and has nine par-threes, eight par-fours and a single, immaculate par-five. The layout is challenging, but perfect for all skill levels, and it features lush greens that are cut by rushing, clear streams which make for a picturesque landscape. Rates vary at the Sugar Mountain Golf Course depending on the time of year; the season begins in early April and ends at the end of October when the weather is getting a bit too cold for the game of golf in this region. Walk specials are available every afternoon, as are twilight rates with cart.
