Sugar Mountain OktoberfestThe Village of Sugar Mountain may be a quaint community, but every year it hosts some infamous events that people travel from all around to attend and enjoy. Sugar Mountain Oktoberfest takes place annually in the middle of October when the leaves on the mountainsides on Sugar Mountain and the surrounding peaks are ablaze with vibrant colors. The Oktoberfest Celebration at Sugar Mountain NC 2010 will be the 20th anniversary year for the Oktoberfest Festival at Sugar and promises to be one of the best yet. Visitors attending Oktoberfest Sugar Mountain will enjoy the arts and crafts vendors, chairlift rides up to Sugar's 5,300 foot peak, and tons of German beers, food, and music. The festival lasts both Saturday and Sunday over the Oktoberfest Sugar Mountain weekend. SugarFest

SugarFest is the large-scale event that takes place just before the Holidays at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Annually, it is hosted the second weekend in December and it always promises to be a grand time. Visitors travel from all around to enjoy the fantastic discounts on skiing, boarding, and lodging and enjoy the jam-packed schedule of activities over the two-day event. In the past, the festival has included instructional workshops and clinics from Olympic medalists.
